Michele’s philosophy is simple: Alberta students come first. Throughout her 29-year career, she has balanced the art of making learning enjoyable with the rigour of meaningful assessment. A veteran educator and leader in professional development, she remains driven by a single mission: doing what is right for kids at every level of the system.

Jennifer MacIsaac is the Executive Assistant at the Alberta Assessment Consortium. She has 21 years of experience in assisting the AAC team and communicating with our members. While away from work, she enjoys reading, spending time with family, traveling, and learning new ways to be creative.

Shannon Ireland
Field Service Facilitator and Resource Design Consultant
Shannon Ireland has been an educator for over 14 years with experience spanning across grades 2-9 in English and French Immersion programs. Her passion areas are assessment and curriculum development. She is currently exploring both of these areas as she works to complete her Master’s of Education with the Werklund School of Education in Calgary. When she is not facilitating or creating teacher resources, Shannon can be found outside exploring nature with her two young children, whom she considers her most influential teachers.

Janice Hagan
Field Service Facilitator
Janice Hagan has extensive experience teaching and leading K–12 education in diverse settings, ranging from public to international schools. Her career has taken her into classrooms and leadership roles that span cultures, communities, and educational systems, giving her a unique perspective on what truly helps students thrive. Over the years, she has developed a strong specialization in early learning, supporting diverse needs, and fostering language development. A passionate advocate for movement-based learning, Janice integrates physical engagement into lessons to create dynamic, inclusive environments where all students can experience success. She also contributes actively to educational teams and professional networks, sharing her expertise through collaboration, mentoring, and professional learning to empower every learner.

Tina Yeung
Field Service Facilitator
Tina Yeung is an experienced educator with over 14 years of teaching in both the private and public education sectors. While she has taught a wide range of grades, her expertise lies primarily in elementary education. Tina holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Master’s degree in Educational Literacy and Numeracy from Walden University. Tina supports K–12 curriculum and assessment implementation, playing a key leadership role in navigating Alberta’s evolving curriculum landscape. She has facilitated more than 50 professional development sessions for teachers, educational assistants, and administrators across her division. Her Professional Development topics span a broad range of instructional priorities, including Backwards Design, Assessment Triangulation, Selected Response vs. Performance Tasks, Outcomes-Based Assessment and Reporting, Differentiated Assessment, Universal Teaching and Assessment Strategies, and Student Engagement.

Sasha Bohnet
Field Service Facilitator and Performance Assessment Designer
Sasha is a highly sought after facilitator, teacher and ecological designer; known for her kind heart, authenticity and playfulness. Sasha teaches Agriculture and Environmental Stewardship, along with Science, Technology and Fashion studies, and is a recent graduate with a Master’s of Education in Sustainability, Creativity and Innovation. When she isn’t at school, you can find Sasha outside walking around, looking at plants and trees, digging in the garden or stretched out in a hammock reading a book. She makes her home in Yellowhead County.
